Dari Etam mereka berjalan balik ke arah Pi-Hahirot dekat Baal-Zefon lalu berkemah dekat Migdol

Setelah meninggalkan Pi-Hahirot mereka berjalan dari tengah laut menuju padang gurun dan berjalan tiga hari melalui padang gurun Etam kemudian berkemah di Mara
