Apabila TUHAN Allahmu membawamu ke tanah yang akan kamu masuki untuk mendudukinya Kamu harus mengucapkan berkat di Gunung Gerizim dan kutuk di Gunung Ebal

Sesudah kamu menyeberangi Sungai Yordan suku-suku inilah yang harus berdiri di Gunung Gerizim untuk memberikan berkat-berkat kepada umat Simeon Lewi Yehuda Isakhar Yusuf dan Benyamin

Ketika Yotam mendengar hal itu dia pergi dan berdiri di puncak Gunung Gerizim Dengan suara nyaring dia berseru Dengarkanlah aku penduduk Sikhem maka Allah akan mendengarkan kamu
