Deuteronomy 20:5

Para petugas juga akan berkata kepada rakyatnya Apakah di sini ada yang telah membangun sebuah rumah baru tetapi belum menempatinya Biarlah dia pulang ke rumahnya supaya dia jangan mati dalam peperangan dan orang lain menempati rumahnya

AV: And the officers <07860> (8802) shall speak <01696> (8765) unto the people <05971>, saying <0559> (8800), What man <0376> [is there] that hath built <01129> (8804) a new <02319> house <01004>, and hath not dedicated <02596> (8804) it? let him go <03212> (8799) and return <07725> (8799) to his house <01004>, lest he die <04191> (8799) in the battle <04421>, and another <0312> man <0376> dedicate <02596> (8799) it.

Deuteronomy 20:8

Para petugas juga harus berkata lagi kepada rakyat Apakah di sini ada yang takut dan berkecil hati Biarlah dia pulang ke rumahnya sehingga dia tidak membuat tentara lain kehilangan keberaniannya

Deuteronomy 20:9

Kemudian setelah para petugas itu selesai berbicara kepada rakyat mereka harus memilih para komandan untuk memimpin rakyat itu
