Luke 1:5

Pada masa pemerintahan Herodes Raja Yudea ada seorang imam bernama Zakharia yang berasal dari kelompok imam Abia Istrinya berasal dari keturunan Harun dan namanya adalah Elisabet

Luke 1:7

Akan tetapi mereka tidak mempunyai anak karena Elisabet mandul dan keduanya sudah sangat tua

Luke 1:13

Akan tetapi malaikat itu berkata kepadanya Jangan takut Zakharia sebab doa permohonanmu sudah didengar Istrimu Elisabet akan melahirkan seorang anak laki-laki bagimu dan kamu akan menamainya Yohanes

Luke 1:24

Setelah peristiwa itu Elisabet hamil dan menyembunyikan diri selama lima bulan Ia berkata

Luke 1:36

Dan ketahuilah bahwa Elisabet saudaramu itu sedang mengandung juga pada usia tuanya Ia yang dahulu disebut mandul sekarang sudah hamil selama enam bulan

Luke 1:40

Ia masuk ke rumah Zakharia dan memberi salam kepada Elisabet

Luke 1:41

Ketika Elisabet mendengar salam dari Maria anak di dalam kandungannya melompat dan Elisabet dipenuhi Roh Kudus

Luke 1:57

Sekarang tibalah waktunya bagi Elisabet untuk melahirkan dan ia melahirkan seorang anak laki-laki
