Suatu saat di Kaisarea ada seseorang bernama Kornelius seorang perwira dari apa yang disebut pasukan Italia

Acts 10:3

Suatu sore sekitar jam kesembilan hari itu ia melihat dengan jelas dalam sebuah penglihatan seorang malaikat Allah datang dan berkata kepadanya Kornelius

Pada hari berikutnya mereka memasuki Kaisarea Kornelius sudah menanti-nantikan mereka dan sudah mengumpulkan sanak saudara serta teman-teman dekatnya

Lalu berkata Kornelius doamu sudah didengar dan sedekahmu telah diingat di hadapan Allah
