Akan tetapi pada hari berikutnya karena kepala pasukan ingin mengetahui alasan sebenarnya mengapa Paulus dituduh oleh orang-orang Yahudi itu ia melepaskan Paulus dan memerintahkan imam-imam kepala serta seluruh Sanhedrin untuk berkumpul lalu ia membawa Paulus turun dan menghadapkannya ke tengah-tengah mereka
