Firaun Nekho mengurungnya di Ribla di tanah Hamat sehingga dia tidak dapat memerintah di Yerusalem Firaun membebankan denda sebesar 100 talenta perak dan 10 talenta emas atas negeri itu

Lalu Firaun Nekho mengangkat Elyakim anak Yosia untuk menggantikan Yosia ayahnya serta mengubah namanya menjadi Yoyakim Namun dia membawa Yoahas sampai ke Mesir dan mati di sana

Kemudian emas dan perak diberikan oleh Yoyakim kepada Firaun tetapi dengan menarik pajak dari negeri supaya dapat memberikan uang sesuai dengan titah Firaun Dia menagih perak dan emas itu dari rakyat negeri untuk dapat memberikannya kepada Firaun Nekho
