1 Chronicles 26:12

Kelompok-kelompok penjaga pintu gerbang menurut kepala kaumnya bertugas melayani di bait TUHAN seperti halnya saudara-saudara mereka

Sesuai peraturan Daud ayahnya dia menetapkan kelompok para imam untuk melaksanakan tugas mereka dan orang-orang Lewi untuk bertugas menyanyikan puji-pujian dan menyelenggarakan ibadah di depan para imam sesuai dengan ketetapan setiap hari Dia menetapkan pula kelompok para penjaga pintu gerbang untuk setiap pintu gerbang karena itulah perintah Daud abdi Allah
