Nehemiah 2:10

Ketika Sanbalat orang Horon dan Tobia seorang hamba orang Amon itu mendengarnya mereka sangat kesal karena seseorang telah datang untuk mengusahakan kesejahteraan orang-orang Israel

AV: When Sanballat <05571> the Horonite <02772>, and Tobiah <02900> the servant <05650>, the Ammonite <05984>, heard <08085> (8799) [of it], it grieved <03415> (8799) them exceedingly <07451> <01419> that there was come <0935> (8804) a man <0120> to seek <01245> (8763) the welfare <02896> of the children <01121> of Israel <03478>.

Namun ketika Sanbalat orang Horon dan Tobia seorang hamba orang Amon itu serta Gesyem orang Arab mendengar semua hal itu mereka mengejek dan menghina kami Mereka berkata Apa yang sedang kamu lakukan Apa kamu ingin memberontak menentang raja

Ketika Sanbalat Tobia orang-orang Arab orang-orang Amon dan orang-orang Asdod mendengar bahwa perbaikan tembok Yerusalem maju dan bahwa celah-celah tembok mulai ditutup mereka menjadi sangat marah

Ketika Sanbalat Tobia Gesyem orang Arab itu dan musuh-musuh kami yang lain mendengar bahwa aku telah membangun tembok sehingga tidak ada lagi lubang walaupun pada waktu itu aku belum memasang papan pintu pada pintu-pintu gerbangnya

Nehemiah 6:2

Sanbalat dan Gesyem mengutus orang kepadaku dengan pesan Mari kita bertemu bersama di Kefirim di dataran Ono Akan tetapi mereka merencanakan kejahatan kepadaku

Nehemiah 6:5

Lalu Sanbalat mengutus hambanya kepadaku dengan pesan yang sama untuk kelima kalinya dengan sepucuk surat yang terbuka di tangannya

Nehemiah 6:12

Aku sadar dan yakin bahwa Allah tidak mengutus dia tetapi dia menyampaikan nubuat melawan aku karena Tobia dan Sanbalat telah membayarnya

Nehemiah 6:14

Ya Allahku ingatlah Tobia dan Sanbalat sesuai dengan perbuatan mereka ini Ingatlah juga Nabiah Noaja dan nabi-nabi lain yang berusaha membuatku takut

Salah seorang anak Yoyada anak Imam Agung Elyasib adalah menantu laki-laki Sanbalat dari Horoni Oleh karena itu aku mengusirnya
