Ratu Wasti juga mengadakan perjamuan makan bagi para perempuan di istana kerajaan Raja Ahasyweros

Memukan menjawab di hadapan raja dan para pemimpin Ratu Wasti tidak hanya bersalah terhadap raja tetapi juga terhadap semua pemimpin dan semua rakyat yang ada di semua provinsi Raja Ahasyweros

Jika hal ini berkenan bagi raja biarlah raja mengeluarkan suatu perintah dan menuliskannya ke dalam undang-undang Persia dan Media supaya hal itu tidak dapat dihapus bahwa Wasti tidak boleh lagi menghadap raja Biarlah raja menyerahkan kedudukan ratu kepada perempuan lain yang lebih baik daripada dia

Setelah peristiwa ini ketika kemarahan Raja Ahasyweros mereda dia teringat akan Wasti apa yang dilakukannya dan apa yang telah diputuskan terhadapnya

Kemudian biarlah perempuan yang dipandang baik oleh raja menjadi ratu sebagai pengganti Wasti Usulan itu dipandang baik oleh raja dan dia melakukannya demikian

Esther 2:17

Raja mencintai Ester melebihi semua perempuan lain dan dia memperoleh kasih sayang dan kemurahan hati melebihi semua gadis lain sehingga dia mengenakan mahkota kerajaan di kepalanya dan menjadikannya ratu sebagai pengganti Wasti
