Surat-surat itu dikirimkan melalui para kurir ke semua provinsi raja untuk memunahkan membunuh dan membinasakan semua orang Yahudi dari yang muda sampai tua anak-anak kecil maupun perempuan dalam sehari pada hari ketiga belas bulan kedua belas yaitu bulan Adar dan merampas harta milik mereka

Para kurir segera berangkat dengan tergesa-gesa atas perintah raja dan undang-undang itu diumumkan di kastel Susan Raja dan Haman duduk sambil minum sedangkan kota Susan telah gempar
