Keturunan Korah Asir Elkana dan Abiasaf Mereka inilah kaum Korah

Ada seorang laki-laki dari Ramataim-Zofim Pegunungan Efraim bernama Elkana anak Yeroham anak Elihu anak Tohu anak Zuf seorang Efraim

Pada hari Elkana mempersembahkan kurban dia memberikan bagian-bagian kepada Penina istrinya dan semua anak laki-laki dan perempuannya

Keesokan harinya mereka bangun pagi-pagi lalu beribadah di hadapan TUHAN Kemudian mereka pulang ke rumah mereka di Rama Ketika Elkana bersetubuh dengan Hana istrinya Tuhan mengingatnya

Elkana laki-laki itu pergi dengan seluruh keluarganya untuk mempersembahkan kepada TUHAN kurban sembelihan tahunan dan kurban nazarnya

Elkana suaminya berkata kepadanya Lakukanlah apa yang kaupandang baik Tinggallah sampai kamu menyapihnya Kiranya TUHAN menepati janji-Nya Jadi tinggallah perempuan itu untuk menyusui anaknya sampai dia menyapihnya

Lalu Elkana pulang ke rumahnya di Rama tetapi anak itu melayani TUHAN di bawah pengawasan Imam Eli

Lalu Eli memberkati Elkana dan istrinya katanya Kiranya TUHAN memberikan keturunan kepadamu dari perempuan ini untuk menggantikan yang telah dipersembahkannya kepada TUHAN Sesudah itu mereka pulang ke tempat tinggal mereka
