Jeremiah 5:14

Karena itu beginilah firman TUHAN Allah semesta alam Karena kamu telah mengucapkan perkataan ini ketahuilah Aku akan membuat firman-firman-Ku di dalam mulutmu seperti api dan bangsa ini seperti kayu api itu akan menghabiskan mereka

Bangsa yang jahat ini yang tidak mau mendengarkan firman-firman-Ku yang berjalan dalam kekerasan hati mereka dan yang mengikuti ilah-ilah lain untuk melayani mereka dan untuk menyembah mereka akan menjadi seperti ikat pinggang ini yang tidak berguna

Jeremiah 23:22

Akan tetapi seandainya mereka berdiri di sidang-Ku mereka akan menyampaikan firman-firman-Ku kepada jemaat-Ku dan telah membuat mereka berbalik dari jalan mereka yang jahat dan dari perbuatan-perbuatan mereka yang jahat
