Jeremiah 11:7

Sebab Aku sungguh-sungguh memperingatkan nenek moyangmu pada waktu Aku membawa mereka keluar dari tanah Mesir bahkan sampai hari ini Aku terus-menerus memperingatkan mereka dengan berkata Taatilah suara-Ku

Dari tahun ketiga belas pemerintahan Yosia anak Amon raja Yehuda sampai hari ini yaitu selama dua puluh tiga tahun firman TUHAN telah datang kepadaku dan aku telah mengatakan kepadamu terus-menerus tetapi kamu tidak mendengarkan

TUHAN telah mengutus kepadamu hamba-hamba-Nya yaitu para nabi terus-menerus tetapi kamu tidak mendengarkan ataupun mengarahkan telingamu untuk mendengar

Aku juga telah mengutus kepadamu semua hamba-Ku yaitu para nabi mengutus mereka terus-menerus dengan pesan Berbaliklah sekarang setiap orang dari jalannya yang jahat dan perbaikilah perbuatan-perbuatanmu dan jangan mengikuti ilah-ilah lain untuk melayani mereka maka kamu akan tinggal di negeri yang telah Aku berikan kepadamu dan kepada nenek moyangmu Namun kamu tidak mencondongkan telingamu maupun mendengarkan Aku
