Jeremiah 40:4

Sekarang lihatlah aku melepaskan kamu hari ini dari rantai-rantai yang mengikat tanganmu Jika menurutmu baik untuk datang bersamaku ke Babel datanglah dan aku akan menjagamu Akan tetapi jika menurutmu salah untuk datang ke Babel bersamaku jangan datang Lihatlah seluruh negeri ini ada di hadapanmu Pergilah ke mana saja yang menurutmu baik dan benar untuk pergi

Sebelum Yeremia berbalik dia berkata Kembalilah kepada Gedalya anak Ahikam anak Safan yang dijadikan gubernur oleh raja Babel atas kota-kota Yehuda Tinggallah bersamanya di tengah-tengah bangsa itu Atau pergilah ke tempat mana pun yang tepat menurutmu Kemudian kepala pengawal itu memberinya persediaan makanan dan hadiah lalu membiarkannya pergi
