Ketika semua kepala tentara dan anak buah mereka yang masih ada di ladang mendengar bahwa raja Babel telah menunjuk Gedalya anak Ahikam menjadi gubernur di negeri itu dan memercayakan kepadanya laki-laki perempuan dan anak-anak serta orang-orang termiskin di negeri itu yang tidak diangkut ke Babel
