Kemudian Yohanan anak Kareah dan semua kepala pasukan yang bersamanya membawa dari Mizpa semua orang yang tersisa yang dia dapatkan kembali dari Ismael anak Netanya setelah dia membunuh Gedalya anak Ahikam yaitu para tentara perempuan anak-anak dan sida-sida yang Yohanan bawa kembali dari Gibeon

Lalu kota itu diterobos dan semua tentara melarikan diri Mereka meninggalkan kota itu pada malam hari melalui pintu gerbang di antara dua tembok di dekat taman raja mesikpun orang-orang Kasdim mengepung kota itu Mereka lari menuju Araba
