Lihatlah Asyur adalah pohon aras di Lebanon dengan cabang-cabangnya yang indah dan menaungi hutan dan batangnya yang tinggi dan puncaknya ada di antara awan-awan

Karena itu beginilah firman Tuhan ALLAH Karena ia menjulang tinggi dan telah menempatkan puncaknya di antara awan-awan dan hatinya angkuh karena ketinggiannya

hingga akhirnya tidak ada satu pun dari semua pohon yang ada di dekat air itu yang meninggikan diri mereka sendiri karena ketinggian mereka atau menjulurkan puncak-puncak mereka di antara awan-awan ataupun ada pohon-pohon besar yang berdiri tinggi-tinggi walaupun menyerap banyak air Sebab mereka semua diserahkan pada kematian ke dunia bagian bawah di antara anak-anak manusia bersama orang-orang yang turun ke liang kubur
