Amos 1:1

Perkataan dari Amos salah seorang di antara para gembala dari Tekoa yang dia lihat mengenai Israel pada masa pemerintahan Uzia Raja Yehuda dan pada masa pemerintahan Yerobeam anak Yoas Raja Israel dua tahun sebelum gempa bumi

AV: The words <01697> of Amos <05986>, who was among the herdmen <05349> of Tekoa <08620>, which he saw <02372> (8804) concerning Israel <03478> in the days <03117> of Uzziah <05818> king <04428> of Judah <03063>, and in the days <03117> of Jeroboam <03379> the son <01121> of Joash <03101> king <04428> of Israel <03478>, two years <08141> before <06440> the earthquake <07494>.

Amos 7:8

TUHAN berkata kepadaku Apa yang kaulihat Amos Aku menjawab Sebuah tali sipat Lalu Tuhan berkata Lihat Aku memasang tali sipat di tengah-tengah umat-Ku Israel Aku takkan pernah melewatkannya lagi

Amos 7:10

Amazia imam di Betel mengirim pesan kepada Yerobeam Raja Israel bunyinya Amos telah bersepakat melawan tuanku di tengah-tengah kaum Israel Negeri ini takkan mampu lagi menanggung semua perkataannya

Amos 7:11

Untuk itu Amos telah berkata Yerobeam akan mati oleh pedang dan Israel harus pergi jauh dari negerinya ke pembuangan

Amos 7:12

Lalu Amazia berkata kepada Amos Pergilah hai pelihat larilah ke tanah Yehuda Makanlah roti di sana dan bernubuatlah di sana

Amos 7:14

Lalu Amos menjawab dan berkata kepada Amazia Aku bukan seorang nabi aku juga bukan anak nabi Akan tetapi aku adalah seorang gembala dan pemungut buah ara

Amos 8:2

Dia bertanya Apa yang kaulihat Amos Aku menjawab Sebuah keranjang berisi buah-buahan musim panas Lalu TUHAN berkata kepadaku Kesudahannya telah datang atas umat-Ku Israel Aku tidak akan menyayangkan mereka lagi
