Umat harus mengadili antara pembunuh dan penuntut darah sesuai peraturan ini

AV: Then the congregation <05712> shall judge <08199> (8804) between the slayer <05221> (8688) and the revenger <01350> (8802) of blood <01818> according to these judgments <04941>:

Namun dia tidak menghukum mati anak-anak pembunuh itu seperti yang tertulis dalam kitab Taurat Musa sebagaimana yang diperintahkan oleh TUHAN yang berbunyi Ayah tidak boleh dihukum mati karena anaknya dan anak tidak boleh dihukum mati karena ayahnya Namun setiap orang harus dihukum mati karena dosanya sendiri
