Pada suatu ketika anak sulungnya berkata kepada adiknya Ayah kita sudah tua dan tidak ada satu laki-laki pun di bumi ini yang datang kepada kita seperti tradisi di seluruh bumi

Judges 14:4

Ayah dan ibunya tidak mengetahui bahwa hal itu berasal dari TUHAN sebab dia sendiri mencari kesempatan untuk melawan orang Filistin Pada saat itu orang Filistin berkuasa atas orang Israel

Namun dia tidak menghukum mati anak-anak pembunuh itu seperti yang tertulis dalam kitab Taurat Musa sebagaimana yang diperintahkan oleh TUHAN yang berbunyi Ayah tidak boleh dihukum mati karena anaknya dan anak tidak boleh dihukum mati karena ayahnya Namun setiap orang harus dihukum mati karena dosanya sendiri

2 Chronicles 25:4

Namun dia tidak membunuh anak-anak mereka melainkan bertindak sesuai dengan apa yang tertulis dalam Taurat yaitu kitab Musa tempat TUHAN memberi perintah yang berbunyi Ayah tidak boleh dihukum mati karena anaknya dan anak tidak boleh dihukum mati karena ayahnya Setiap orang harus mati karena dosanya sendiri

Psalms 68:5

Ayah bagi anak-anak yatim Pembela bagi para janda adalah Allah di tempat tinggal-Nya yang kudus

Proverbs 23:24

Ayah orang benar akan sungguh-sungguh bersukaria dia yang memperanakkan orang berhikmat akan senang kepadanya

Apabila seseorang bernubuat lagi ayah dan ibunya yang telah melahirkan dia akan berkata kepadanya Kamu tidak akan hidup lagi karena kamu berdusta demi nama TUHAN Ayah dan ibunya yang telah melahirkan dia akan menikam dia ketika dia bernubuat
