Perjalanan dari Gunung Horeb melewati Pegunungan Seir ke Kadesh-Barnea membutuhkan waktu sebelas hari

Deuteronomy 1:6

TUHAN Allah kita telah berbicara kepada kita di Gunung Horeb Firman-Nya Kamu sudah cukup lama tinggal di gunung ini

Deuteronomy 1:19

Kemudian kita meninggalkan Gunung Horeb dan pergi melalui padang belantara yang luas dan mengerikan seperti yang telah kamu lihat ke daerah perbukitan Amori sesuai dengan perintah TUHAN Allah kita Dan kita telah sampai di Kadesh-Barnea

Pada waktu kamu berdiri di hadapan TUHAN Allahmu di Gunung Horeb TUHAN berfirman kepadaku Kumpulkanlah mereka di hadapan-Ku biarlah mereka mendengarkan yang harus Kukatakan Maka mereka akan belajar untuk takut akan Aku selama mereka hidup Dan mereka juga akan mengajarkan kepada anak-anaknya

Ketika TUHAN berfirman kepadamu dari api di atas Gunung Horeb kamu tidak melihat rupa Allah Oleh sebab itu berhati-hatilah

Kamu membuat TUHAN marah di Gunung Horeb bahkan TUHAN sangat murka hingga akan membinasakanmu

seperti yang kamu minta dari TUHAN Allahmu di Gunung Horeb pada waktu kamu berkumpul dengan berkata Jangan biarkan kami mendengar suara TUHAN Allah kami lagi Jangan biarkan kami melihat api besar itu atau kami akan mati

Inilah kata-kata perjanjian yang TUHAN perintahkan kepada Musa dengan bangsa Israel di tanah Moab di samping perjanjian yang telah Dia buat dengan mereka di Gunung Horeb
