Deuteronomy 1:19

Kemudian kita meninggalkan Gunung Horeb dan pergi melalui padang belantara yang luas dan mengerikan seperti yang telah kamu lihat ke daerah perbukitan Amori sesuai dengan perintah TUHAN Allah kita Dan kita telah sampai di Kadesh-Barnea

Deuteronomy 2:7

Ingatlah bahwa TUHAN Allahmu telah memberkatimu dalam segala sesuatu yang kamu kerjakan Dia tahu tentang segala sesuatu yang terjadi pada perjalananmu melalui padang belantara yang luas ini TUHAN Allahmu menyertaimu selama 40 tahun Kamu tidak pernah kekurangan

Deuteronomy 8:15

Dia membawamu melalui padang belantara yang luas dan menakutkan yang penuh dengan ular dan kalajengking berbisa Tanahnya gersang dan tidak ada air Dialah yang membuat air keluar dari gunung batu bagimu
