Aku telah mengajarmu tentang ketetapan dan perintah yang diperintahkan kepadaku oleh TUHAN Allahku supaya kamu menaatinya di negeri yang akan kamu masuki dan miliki

Ketika TUHAN Allahmu membawamu ke negeri yang akan kamu masuki dan miliki Dia akan mengusir banyak bangsa dari hadapanmu yaitu orang Het orang Girgasi orang Amori orang Kanaan orang Feris orang Hewi dan orang Yebus Itulah tujuh bangsa yang lebih besar dan lebih kuat daripada kamu

Apabila TUHAN Allahmu membawamu ke tanah yang akan kamu masuki untuk mendudukinya Kamu harus mengucapkan berkat di Gunung Gerizim dan kutuk di Gunung Ebal

TUHAN akan membuatmu menderita penyakit sampar sampai Dia menghabiskanmu dari negeri yang telah kamu masuki untuk kamu miliki itu
