Langit dan bumi adalah saksiku Jika kamu melakukan yang jahat itu kamu akan segera binasa di tanah yang kau seberangi melalui Sungai Yordan itu Kamu tidak akan lama tinggal di sana dan akan binasa semua

Deuteronomy 7:4

Sebab mereka akan membuat anak-anakmu menjauh dari-Ku dan menyembah ilah lain sehingga murka TUHAN akan menyala atasmu dan Dia akan segera membinasakanmu

Deuteronomy 9:3

Ketahuilah bahwa TUHAN Allahmu berjalan di depanmu bagaikan api yang menghanguskan Dia akan membinasakan bangsa-bangsa itu dan menjatuhkan mereka di depanmu sehingga kamu bisa mengusir dan membinasakan mereka dengan segera seperti yang dijanjikan TUHAN kepadamu

Deuteronomy 9:12

Lalu TUHAN berfirman kepadaku Bangkit dan berangkatlah dengan segera ke bawah Bangsamu yang telah kamu bawa keluar dari tanah Mesir sudah rusak Dengan cepat menyimpang dari segala yang Kuperintahkan kepada mereka Mereka telah membuat patung tuangan bagi mereka sendiri

Akan tetapi mereka tidak mau menghiraukan para hakim itu sebab mereka berbuat menyimpang dengan mengikuti ilah lain dan sujud menyembah kepadanya Mereka dengan segera berbelok dari jalan yang dilalui oleh nenek moyang mereka yang menuruti perintah TUHAN Mereka tidak melakukan yang benar

Karena itu TUHAN membiarkan bangsa-bangsa itu menetap dan tidak segera mengusir mereka Dia tidak menyerahkan mereka ke dalam tangan Yosua
