Deuteronomy 8:3

Dia membuatmu rendah hati membiarkanmu lapar dan memberi makan manna yang tidak dikenal olehmu atau nenek moyangmu agar kamu menyadari bahwa manusia hidup bukan dari roti saja melainkan dari segala sesuatu yang dikatakan TUHAN

AV: And he humbled <06031> (8762) thee, and suffered thee to hunger <07456> (8686), and fed <0398> (8686) thee with manna <04478>, which thou knewest <03045> (8804) not, neither did thy fathers <01> know <03045> (8804); that he might make thee know <03045> (8687) that man <0120> doth not live <02421> (8799) by bread <03899> only <0905>, but by every [word] that proceedeth <04161> out of the mouth <06310> of the LORD <03068> doth man <0120> live <02421> (8799).

2 Kings 4:40

Saat makanan itu dituang untuk memberi makan kepada orang-orang itu mereka berteriak dan berkata Kematian ada dalam kuali itu hai abdi Allah Mereka pun tidak dapat tahan untuk memakannya

AV: So they poured out <03332> (8799) for the men <0582> to eat <0398> (8800). And it came to pass, as they were eating <0398> (8800) of the pottage <05138>, that they cried out <06817> (8804), and said <0559> (8799), O [thou] man <0376> of God <0430>, [there is] death <04194> in the pot <05518>. And they could <03201> (8804) not eat <0398> (8800) [thereof].
