Deuteronomy 19:6

Maksudnya agar orang yang menuntut balasan darah yang mengejar pembunuh itu dengan hati panas tidak dapat menyusulnya sebab jarak menuju kota itu terlalu jauh supaya dia tidak membunuhnya Sedangkan orang itu tidak patut dihukum mati karena dia tidak membenci kawannya sebelumnya

Jeremiah 26:11

Kemudian para imam dan para nabi berkata kepada para pejabat dan kepada semua orang katanya Orang ini pantas dihukum mati karena dia telah bernubuat menentang kota ini seperti yang telah kamu dengar dengan telingamu
