Deuteronomy 31:27

Sebab aku tahu pemberontakanmu dan kedegilanmu Sesungguhnya selama aku masih hidup denganmu sampai hari ini kamu sudah memberontak terhadap TUHAN Lebih lagi bagaimana nanti ketika aku sudah mati

Di usianya yang sudah tua Samuel mengangkat anak-anaknya laki-laki menjadi hakim atas Israel
