Joshua 20:6

Ia harus tinggal di kota itu sampai ia berdiri di hadapan rapat jemaat untuk diadili dan sampai imam besar yang ada pada saat itu mati Pada waktu itulah pembunuh itu boleh pulang ke kotanya dan ke rumahnya ke kota dari mana ia telah melarikan diri

Joshua 20:9

Itulah kota-kota yang ditentukan bagi semua orang Israel dan orang-orang asing yang tinggal di tengah-tengah mereka supaya siapa saja yang membunuh seseorang tanpa sengaja tidak mati di tangan penuntut tebusan darah sampai ia berdiri di hadapan rapat jemaat
