Lalu terjadilah demikian Ketika dia bangun pagi-pagi pada keesokan harinya dipulasnya guntingan bulu itu dan diperasnya embun dari guntingan bulu itu secawan penuh air

Gideon berkata kepada Allah Jangan biarkan murka-Mu bangkit terhadap aku jika aku berkata sekali lagi izinkanlah aku menguji satu kali lagi dengan guntingan bulu itu biarlah yang kering hanya guntingan bulu itu sedangkan di atas seluruh tanah itu tertimpa embun
