Judges 8:5

Kemudian dia berkata kepada orang-orang Sukot Berikanlah beberapa ketul roti untuk orang-orang yang mengikuti aku sebab mereka lelah Aku sedang mengejar Zebah dan Salmuna raja-raja Midian

AV: And he said <0559> (8799) unto the men <0582> of Succoth <05523>, Give <05414> (8798), I pray you, loaves <03603> of bread <03899> unto the people <05971> that follow <07272> me; for they [be] faint <05889>, and I am pursuing <07291> (8802) after <0310> Zebah <02078> and Zalmunna <06759>, kings <04428> of Midian <04080>.

Judges 8:6

Para pemimpin Sukot itu menjawab Sudahkah Zebah dan Salmuna berada di tanganmu sehingga kami harus memberikan roti kepada tentaramu

Judges 8:7

Gideon berkata Kalau begitu jika TUHAN menyerahkan Zebah dan Salmuna ke dalam tanganku aku akan mencambuk tubuhmu dengan duri padang belantara dan onak

Sementara itu Zebah dan Salmuna berada di Karkor bersama tentara mereka yang berjumlah lima belas ribu orang yaitu semua orang yang tersisa dari seluruh tentara orang-orang timur Seratus dua puluh ribu orang yang bersenjatakan pedang sudah tewas

Zebah dan Salmuna melarikan diri lalu dia mengejar dan menangkap kedua raja Midian itu yaitu Zebah dan Salmuna sementara seluruh tentaranya gemetar

Kemudian dia bertanya kepada Zebah dan Salmuna Di manakah orang-orang yang kamu bunuh di Tabor itu Mereka menjawab Mereka itu seperti engkau setiap orang terlihat seperti anak raja

Judges 8:21

Lalu Zebah dan Salmuna berkata Bangunlah engkau dan paranglah sebab seperti orangnya begitu pula kekuatannya Lalu Gideon bangkit dan membunuh Zebah dan Salmuna lalu mengambil bulan-bulanan yang ada di leher unta mereka
