Gideon berkata Kalau begitu jika TUHAN menyerahkan Zebah dan Salmuna ke dalam tanganku aku akan mencambuk tubuhmu dengan duri padang belantara dan onak

Kemudian dia membawa para tua-tua kota itu mengambil duri di padang belantara dan onak lalu dia mengajar orang-orang Sukot dengan itu
