1 Samuel 7:2

Semenjak tabut itu tinggal di Kiryat-Yearim dalam waktu yang cukup lama sekitar 20 tahun seluruh bangsa Israel meratap kepada TUHAN

1 Samuel 7:3

Samuel berkata kepada seluruh bangsa Israel katanya Jika kamu berbalik kepada TUHAN dengan segenap hatimu singkirkanlah ilah-ilah asing dan Asytoret dari tengah-tengah kamu Berikanlah hatimu kepada TUHAN dan layanilah Dia maka Dia akan menyelamatkan kamu dari tangan orang Filistin
