1 Samuel 28:3

Samuel sudah mati dan seluruh orang Israel meratapinya dan menguburkannya di Rama kotanya sendiri Sementara itu Saul menyingkirkan para pemanggil arwah dan dukun dari negeri itu

AV: Now Samuel <08050> was dead <04191> (8804), and all Israel <03478> had lamented <05594> (8799) him, and buried <06912> (8799) him in Ramah <07414>, even in his own city <05892>. And Saul <07586> had put away <05493> (8689) those that had familiar spirits <0178>, and the wizards <03049>, out of the land <0776>.

Perempuan itu menjawabnya Pasti engkau mengetahui apa yang dilakukan Saul yang telah melenyapkan para pemanggil arwah dan para dukun dari negeri ini Mengapa engkau memasang jerat bagi nyawaku untuk membunuhku

Isaiah 8:19

Ketika mereka berkata kepadamu Carilah petunjuk dari para pemanggil arwah dan ahli sihir yang berbisik dan berkomat-kamit jawablah Bukankah suatu bangsa seharusnya meminta petunjuk dari Allahnya Patutkah mereka meminta petunjuk kepada yang mati mengenai yang hidup
