2 Samuel 20:1

Kebetulan di sana ada seorang yang berkelakuan jahat bernama Seba anak Bikri orang Benyamin Dia meniup trompet dan berkata Kita tidak mendapat bagian dari Daud Kita tidak mendapat milik pusaka dari anak Isai itu Setiap orang ke tendanya hai orang Israel

Seluruh orang Israel undur dari Daud dan mengikuti Seba anak Bikri Sementara orang-orang Yehuda tetap bergabung dengan raja dari Sungai Yordan sampai Yerusalem

Daud berkata kepada Abisai Sekarang Seba anak Bikri menjadi lebih berbahaya dari Absalom Bawalah hamba-hamba tuanmu dan kejarlah dia supaya dia jangan mencapai kota yang berkubu sehingga terlepas dari pandangan kita

Amasa tidak mengawasi pedang yang ada di tangan Yoab itu yang ditikamkan ke perutnya sehingga mencurahkan isi perutnya ke tanah Tidak ditikamnya dua kali sebab dia sudah mati Setelah itu Yoab dan Abisai adiknya mengejar Seba anak Bikri Setelah itu Yoab dan Abisai adiknya melanjutkan pengejaran terhadap Seba

2 Samuel 20:13

Sesudah dia memindahkan mayat itu dari jalan raya semua orang itu berjalan mengikuti Yoab dan berusaha mengejar Seba anak Bikri

Bukan begitu peristiwanya Sesungguhnya seseorang dari Pegunungan Efraim yang bernama Seba anak Bikri telah mengangkat tangannya terhadap Raja Daud Serahkanlah dia saja maka aku akan pergi dari kota ini Lalu perempuan itu menjawab kepada Yoab Baiklah kepalanya akan dilemparkan kepadamu dari belakang tembok ini

Perempuan itu datang kepada seluruh rakyat dengan bijaksana Sesudah itu mereka memenggal kepala Seba anak Bikri dan melemparkannya kepada Yoab Lalu dia meniup trompet lalu mereka berserak meninggalkan kota masing-masing ke tempatnya Yoab pun kembali kepada raja di Yerusalem
