Amasa tidak mengawasi pedang yang ada di tangan Yoab itu yang ditikamkan ke perutnya sehingga mencurahkan isi perutnya ke tanah Tidak ditikamnya dua kali sebab dia sudah mati Setelah itu Yoab dan Abisai adiknya mengejar Seba anak Bikri Setelah itu Yoab dan Abisai adiknya melanjutkan pengejaran terhadap Seba

Selang beberapa waktu yaitu pada akhir masa dua tahun isi perutnya keluar karena penyakitnya itu Dia mati dengan penderitaan yang hebat Rakyatnya tidak menyalakan api untuknya seperti mereka menyalakan api untuk leluhurnya
