2 Samuel 21:2

Lalu raja memanggil orang-orang Gibeon dan berbicara kepada mereka Orang-orang Gibeon bukanlah orang Israel melainkan mereka sesungguhnya adalah sisa-sisa orang Amori Orang Israel telah bersumpah kepada mereka tetapi Saul berusaha membinasakan mereka karena giat membela orang Israel dan Yehuda

AV: And the king <04428> called <07121> (8799) the Gibeonites <01393>, and said <0559> (8799) unto them; (now the Gibeonites <01393> [were] not of the children <01121> of Israel <03478>, but of the remnant <03499> of the Amorites <0567>; and the children <01121> of Israel <03478> had sworn <07650> (8738) unto them: and Saul <07586> sought <01245> (8762) to slay <05221> (8687) them in his zeal <07065> (8763) to the children <01121> of Israel <03478> and Judah <03063>.)

2 Samuel 21:3

Daud berkata kepada orang-orang Gibeon Apakah yang harus kulakukan dan bagaimanakah dapat kuadakan penebusan supaya kamu memberkati milik pusaka TUHAN

Orang-orang Gibeon menjawab Bukan perak dan emas urusan kami terhadap Saul dan keluarganya Tidak seorang pun dari orang Israel akan dibunuh Daud bertanya lagi Apakah yang kamu kehendaki untuk kulakukan

AV: And the Gibeonites <01393> said <0559> (8799) unto him, We will have no silver <03701> nor gold <02091> of <05973> Saul <07586>, nor of his house <01004>; neither for us shalt thou kill <04191> (8687) any man <0376> in Israel <03478>. And he said <0559> (8799), What ye shall say <0559> (8802), [that] will I do <06213> (8799) for you. {We will...: or, It is not silver nor gold that we have to do with Saul or his house, neither pertains it to us to kill, etc}
