1 Kings 13:6

Lalu raja menjawab dan berkata kepada abdi Allah itu Mohonkanlah di hadapan TUHAN Allahmu dan berdoalah untukku supaya tanganku dapat kembali kepadaku Abdi Allah itu memohon di hadapan TUHAN sehingga tangan raja dipulihkan dan kembali seperti semula

Jeremiah 29:7

Usahakanlah kesejahteraan kota tempat Aku telah mengirimmu ke pembuangan dan berdoalah kepada TUHAN untuk kota itu karena dalam kesejahteraan kota itulah kamu akan memperoleh kesejahteraan

Raja Zedekia mengutus Yukhal anak Selemya dan Imam Zefanya anak Maaseya kepada Nabi Yeremia dengan pesan Tolong berdoalah bagi kami kepada TUHAN Allah kita
