Setelah perkara ini Yerobeam tidak berbalik dari hidupnya yang jahat tetapi mengangkat kembali imam-imam di bukit-bukit pengurbanan dari kalangan rakyat Dia melantik siapa saja yang ingin menjadi imam di bukit-bukit pengurbanan
