Setelah peristiwa-peristiwa ini Nabot orang Yizreel memiliki kebun anggur yang berada di Yizreel di samping istana Ahab raja Samaria

Ahab datang ke istananya dengan kesal dan geram atas perkataan yang Nabot orang Yizreel jawab kepadanya katanya Aku tidak akan memberikan kepadamu milik pusaka nenek moyangku Lalu dia berbaring di tempat tidurnya dan memalingkan wajahnya serta tidak mau makan roti

Dia menjawab kepadanya Sebab aku telah berkata kepada Nabot orang Yizreel kataku Berikanlah kepadaku kebun anggurmu dengan perak atau jika kamu lebih suka aku akan memberikan kepadamu kebun anggur sebagai gantinya Namun dia berkata Aku tidak akan memberikan kepadamu kebun anggurku itu

Izebel istrinya berkata kepadanya Bukankah engkau sekarang memerintah sebagai raja atas Israel Bangun makanlah roti dan biarlah hatimu bergembira Aku akan memberikan kepadamu kebun anggur Nabot orang Yizreel itu

1 Kings 21:15

Saat Izebel mendengar bahwa Nabot sudah dilempari dengan batu sampai mati Izebel berkata kepada Ahab Bangunlah milikilah kebun anggur Nabot orang Yizreel itu yang telah menolak untuk memberikan kepadamu dengan bayaran perak karena Nabot tidak lagi hidup dia sudah mati

1 Kings 21:16

Saat Ahab mendengar bahwa Nabot sudah mati Ahab bangkit untuk pergi ke kebun anggur Nabot orang Yizreel itu untuk memilikinya

AV: And it came to pass, when Ahab <0256> heard <08085> (8800) that Naboth <05022> was dead <04191> (8804), that Ahab <0256> rose up <06965> (8799) to go down <03381> (8800) to the vineyard <03754> of Naboth <05022> the Jezreelite <03158>, to take possession <03423> (8800) of it.

2 Kings 9:21

Yoram berkata Pasangkan kereta Lalu mereka memasang keretanya Yoram raja Israel serta Ahazia raja Yehuda keluar masing-masing dengan keretanya Mereka keluar untuk menemui Yehu dan menjumpainya di kebun Nabot orang Yizreel itu

2 Kings 9:25

Yehu berkata kepada Bidkar perwiranya Angkat dan lemparkan mayatnya ke kebun Nabot orang Yizreel itu karena ingatlah bahwa ketika aku dan kamu menunggang kuda berdampingan untuk mengikuti Ahab ayahnya TUHAN telah mengucapkan hukuman ini terhadapnya
