Kemudian dia menulis banyak surat atas nama Ahab dan memeteraikan mereka dengan meterai raja serta mengirim surat-surat itu kepada para tua-tua dan kepada para pemuka yang tinggal sekota dengan Nabot

Demikianlah orang-orang yang ada di kotanya yaitu para tua-tua dan para pemuka yang tinggal di kotanya melakukan seperti yang Izebel utus kepada mereka seperti yang tertulis dalam surat-surat yang dia kirimkan kepada mereka
