Pada malam itu dia bangun dan mengambil kedua istrinya kedua hamba perempuannya dan kesebelas anak laki-lakinya untuk menyeberangi penyeberangan Yabok

Raja orang Amon berkata kepada pesuruh Yefta Karena orang Israel merampas tanah kami ketika mereka datang dari Mesir mulai dari Sungai Arnon sampai ke Sungai Yabok dan sampai ke Sungai Yordan Sekarang kembalikanlah semua itu dengan damai

Dan mereka mengambil seluruh wilayah orang Amori itu dari Sungai Arnon sampai ke Sungai Yabok dan dari padang belantara sampai ke Sungai Yordan
