TUHAN memperingatkan orang Israel dan orang Yehuda melalui semua nabi-Nya dan semua pelihat dengan berkata Berbaliklah dari jalan-jalanmu yang jahat dan peliharalah perintah-perintah-Ku dan ketetapan-ketetapan-Ku sesuai dengan segala hukum yang telah Aku perintahkan kepada nenek moyangmu yang telah Aku sampaikan kepadamu melalui hamba-hamba-Ku yaitu para nabi

Namun mereka mencemooh utusan-utusan Allah itu meremehkan firman-Nya dan mengejek para nabi-Nya Oleh sebab itu murka TUHAN bangkit terhadap umat-Nya tanpa ada lagi pemulihan
